Vodafone Amend Mobile Broadband Offerings

January 31, 2016

Beginning on the 4th of February, Vodafone have announced modifications to its mobile broadband services.

The new customer price plan, providing 3GB of data and speeds of up to 7.2Mbps, will be offered for £15/month (inc. VAT). This represents a reduction in price by half over present contracts which are presently available for £30 for 3GB.

Business products will see usage allowances amplified to 5GB / month from the present 3GB, with some supplementary concessions if you decide on a longer tenure.

The present “Mobile Broadband 30 Day” choice decrease in price to £20 from the existing £30, for 3GB of data allowance. This product has a contract with 30 days notice so you can terminate at any time which is perfect for instances when you may be working away from home for a period of time (providing you stay in the UK).

Three also offer a comparable service, mobile broadband on a pay as you go (PAYG) source from as little as £10 per month for 1GB of data.

It is heartening to see, within the mobile broadband market, operators beginning to compete more. Earlier this month, three announced a free laptop offer available when purchasing a mobile broadband contract and T-Mobile introduced free Wi-Fi at T-Mobile hotspots for web’n’walk customers.

Hopefully O2 and Orange will come in line and launch some novel offerings to ensure competition between consumers and competitors.
